Re: Please Charter, die already..... Comcast probably can't buy 'em because of the 33% rule. Now if they can get around that rule then yes, they'll probably buy and it'll be a step closer to a cable monopoly.
Otherwise the big buyer would be Time Warner Cable (they serve Kansas City so the STL market isn't too terribly far away). Problem there is that TWC is stuck in 2002...they don't want to deploy DOCSIS 3.0 anywhere unless there's heavy competition, and they want to cap everyone as soon as possible to protect their TV revenues. Unless you have a lot of competition in your area for internet service, you don't want TWC to take over. |
