Re: Microsoft's new Bing search engine hijacks IE6 browsers Yeah, some people can't really upgrade their computers because of how outdated they are. And, as you noticed, that kind of RAM costs tons more than the more modern RAM. I myself primarily used a PC from the end of 2001 that used PC133 RAM. Just about a week ago I purchased and built a new PC (and I was surprised about the price of RAM for it: $50 for 4 GB!). But I guess the older RAM costs more because it's still in high demand.
As for IE6, I was using Firefox, but sometimes used IE6 for when I needed to easily extract files from its cache (which it collected from webpages). I still have my old PC hooked up for those occasions. |
