Yeah, some people can't really upgrade their computers because of how outdated they are. And, as you noticed, that kind of RAM costs tons more than the more modern RAM. I myself primarily used a PC from the end of 2001 that used PC133 RAM. Just about a week ago I purchased and built a new PC (and I was surprised about the price of RAM for it: $50 for 4 GB!). But I guess the older RAM costs more because it's still in high demand.

As for IE6, I was using Firefox, but sometimes used IE6 for when I needed to easily extract files from its cache (which it collected from webpages). I still have my old PC hooked up for those occasions.
