Re: [CATV] Junky DVR boxes I used one of these boxes on HD for well over a year with no issues, i also had mine hooked up to HDMI.
I actually had one in the living room and one in the bedroom, these boxes were actually 10x better than the crap i had gotten from Time Warner.
My box had frozen up one time, but that was because i had sat a DVD player on top of it for a few hours to test it and it overheated the box. |

Agreed, as for the buffer overflow error, once you notice it doing it, don't impatiently hit a bunch of keys, wait a few seconds and it will catch up... if your pounding the remote the entire time it will cause it to lockup and fail. Also the fuller your Hard Drive is the worse the box operates. I have had mine for year and half now no problem. Also, this is an adult forum not a place for cat fights. If that is what your bringing to the table, you can take that else where. |

Burns11 join:2009-05-10 Louisville, KY | Make no mistake, these boxes could be worse as I had my first box for years before it crapped out (but it was also a new box), since it went out I get replacement after replacement and have problem after problem. It's obvious they are recycling problem boxes and only wiping the HDD, and it's more than just a little bit frustrating paying quite a bit for the service to only have it continuously half work and frustrate. |

I understand completely, have you sent Mr Willner an email? He is always very helpful in these situations. I also know that he and many of the other top execs at Insight read these forums. |

 | An Insight tech told us there are no new boxes for Louisville. All are "refurbished." No wonder some of us have had box after box, each one with new problems that were never fixed in the first place. |
