Re: Holy Cow....Xbox 360! I personally think the whole motion control concept is completely stupid. But I think the Wii is completely stupid as well. I like to play games to relax. I have a nice comfy chair I sit in, put my feet up, rest the controller in my lap, and play Xbox. The last thing on earth I would ever want to do is stand up and physically exert myself to play a game. That to me defeats the whole purpose of playing a game, which is to relax. What is interesting though is millions of people don't think like me, and they love the idea of standing and and sweating while playing a game. So I can see why Microsoft is working on this technology, because obviously after watching Nintendo's success with the Wii the market clearly exists.
The Wii has been very successful with people who would not normally call themselves gamers. My mother-in-law is 60 and she has a Wii. She has never played a video game in her life, and the whole concept of sitting down and playing a game is boring and a waste of time to her. I just don't think she has the imagination or patience to sit down and play through a real game. She loves playing bowling on the Wii however, it's just more approachable to her. So if Microsoft can go after this same market they could be quite successful.
