They came a few weeks ago and removed our existing, cut out some tree roots that were causing problems, and put in a 6" base.

We are waiting for it to settle and they will be back to put down 3" of blacktop.

That is paved over the existing asphalt. For a complete re-do (take up the old, regrade, etc) figure twice that much.

I had my drive done at the same time the private road was done, so there was a little break, but not much.

Get 3-4 estimates. We got 3 and they were all over the place.
