That is a typical Netgear response to a 192.168.x.x IP address on the WAN port. Presumably, the DSL modem is set up in its default mode, and is running the PPPoE session.

Do one of two things:

• Change the LAN IP address of the router from 192.168.0.1/255.255.255.0 to 192.168.x.1/255.255.255.0, where the value of 'x' is at least '2', and not greater than '255'.

• Put the modem into bridged mode and move the PPPoE session to the router.
