Call waiting call confrenced?

While I was on the phone with my wife this afternoon, she got another call on call waiting. She clicked over, but I was still on the call, and heard the entire other conversation! I cautioned her about this for the future, but not sure why that happened. I have the GS HT502.
Any ideas?

Someone else reported this problem not that long ago. Nice to see it is still around.

Scary... think of the ramifications of talking about the party who supposedly is call-waited.

This almost sounds like it could be a problem in the GS. Did you call CS or submit a ticket?

Brings to mind when a friend of mine who works out of his home had severe crosstalk between both of his phone lines. When he put you on hold to answer the other, you could hear the other conversation very clearly! It took Verizon a couple months to fix that one....

Didn't create a ticket or call CS yet, as I have found better results here. Otherwise I have to explain to somebody less technical in nature and have it sent on to a higher level tech.
I will keep an ear out on it.

When I was with VT this happened quite a few times. Each time support would change a "setting" and it would be ok for a while. A few weeks would go by and again the other party could hear both sides of the conversation. It got to the point where we just stopped using the call waiting as we lost total faith in it with VT.
