Re: Qwest Ultimate DSL?

I'm an employee of Qwest and am in the sales and service department. I can confirm with you that yes, Qwest is coming out with 40 M down. They have already began 'testing' the lines in certain areas of Colorado. the price that shows on my computer at work is 115 a month. That obviously will come down considerably in the future. Hope that helped...

What would be the upload speed? It should be at least 1mbps to be useful for the price. 40mbps down with 0.8mbps up will be a big joke and has very little value. Quest could make several tiers for upload speads, says 0.8mbps, 1mbps, 2mbps, and etc. with appropriate pricing. This would be a lot better than forcing everyone to live with the given upload speed.

Agreed..

I'm happy with my 7M service on the d/l side, but the 72Kb/s upload is killing me.

And that's just upping a 96Mb video to Youtube. Ugh.
