I'm an employee of Qwest and am in the sales and service department. I can confirm with you that yes, Qwest is coming out with 40 M down. They have already began 'testing' the lines in certain areas of Colorado. the price that shows on my computer at work is 115 a month. That obviously will come down considerably in the future. Hope that helped... |

| What would be the upload speed? It should be at least 1mbps to be useful for the price. 40mbps down with 0.8mbps up will be a big joke and has very little value. Quest could make several tiers for upload speads, says 0.8mbps, 1mbps, 2mbps, and etc. with appropriate pricing. This would be a lot better than forcing everyone to live with the given upload speed. |

I'm happy with my 7M service on the d/l side, but the 72Kb/s upload is killing me.
And that's just upping a 96Mb video to Youtube. Ugh. |
