 [modem/router] D-Link DSL-2320B Can't connect

I just bought a D-Link DSL 2320B modem to use with Verizon, but it can't seem to find the internet I've gone through the setup advocated in other parts of this site, but it still doesn't seem to work. I am using VPI=0, VCI=35, PPPoE, etc. but there is no internet connection. The DSL light is on. Any suggestions?

Your VPI/VCI settings are in fact correct, and the modem is synced so that's a good thing. Otherwise, are you living in one of Verizon's DHCP areas by any chance or are you on PPPoE? If you did enter in the correct PPPoE information or use DHCP, is your modem reporting pulling a public IP address?

I'm pretty sure I'm in PPPoE and I entered my username and password. How would I check if the modem is pulling a public IP address? The DSL light is on on the modem but the internet light is not, does that mean that it is not pulling a public IP?

Internet light not being lit is the indication that it is not holding an IP address. Try seeing if the modem will connect using DHCP, and if it doesn't, then keep it on PPPoE. Other than that, I wouldn't know what is wrong.
