| [netopia] Slow log on and pageing
I am currently using Westell modem from BellSouth/ATT with BellSouth/ATT as my ISP. on Win. XP Home. With this setup, All is well. However,
I have recently recieved a Netopia mod. 3347 NWG-006 modem with wireless router, which I would like to use.
Upon connecting the netopia, It takes 2 minutes 12 sec. to log on to my homepage, vs 9sec for the Westell. Upon switching to another page, it continues the slow loading.
I have reset the modem to factory default with the same situation.
If I connect it (the Netopia) to my old computer running the same operating system (Win XP Home) my home page loads in 8 seconds.
I don't know what the difference between the two computers is, but if anyone can steer me to the answer to this problem, please help.
I have contacted ATT helpline where the lady kept trying to work with the modem (which works fine on my old computer). This makes me think it is something on the computer side vs the modem.
