Your SOL you will have to set up windows netmeeting or some kind of vnc software on a computer runiing behind the 2wire and remotley access that to remote manage your 2wire.

Hello,

I recently signed up with ATT and bought a 2wire 2701HG-B DSL model/gateway. Things went fine until I tried to setup remote access to my home network. I would like to configure the router from outside of my home, like when I am traveling or at the library. However, I cannot find the Remote Access tab as shown in the following page: »support.att.net/bellsouth/asp/co···51be0954

I only have four tabs in the »homeportal configuration page: "System", "Broadband Link", "Home Network", "Firewall".

I called ATT support. They said it was a modern issue and asked me to contact 2wire. Then I contact 2wire, they replied that it is ATT that crippled the modern. I am kind of stuck here. Is there a way I can flush the firmware with an uncrippled version and enable this tab?

Thanks,
Steve
