At most it'll take 15-20 minutes, you just give the rep some info over the phone along with the MAC address of the modem and you'll be up and running in about 10 minutes after that. Yes three months free so after that time they will charge you full rate but you are free to cancel or change your plan but do it the month before. I know this is an old thread. But is this a DOCSIS 3 modem? Probably not eh? No. The DOCSIS 3 service is currently in limited deployment, for that service you cannot use this kit or the promo. |

| reply to dissapbell mlerner, did you take this promotion offer aswell?
Sales Rep didnt mention anything about the $50 additional credit...
Ok i will get the Kit tomorrow. How long will it take to activate it?
I am looking to get Rogers Extreme free for 3 months, is it possible?
After 3 months, they will bill me the regular price ($59.99)?
Thanks. |

| reply to dissapbell I just went to THE SOURCE.
They told me that its 3 months free if you take Rogers for 1 year, but if you dont then you have to pay regular price for the 3 months (no free).
She didnt know much i suppose, so can someone explain to me what she meant? does she mean a contract?
I dont want to do a contract...
Thanks. |

| reply to awaisuk said by awaisuk :So i get modem for free now? And with 3 months free and $50 credit? That sounds great. Is there any contract required? No Contract. When you call the number to activate the modem they will ask you for a contract. But Say no and choose whatever plan. Activation charges of 14.95 are applied and adjusted against the $99.95 credit. |

| reply to dissapbell Hey,
I am interested in getting this 3 months free offer.
Well i purchase the modem for $59.95, and then i get 3 months free internet, and also $150 credit? Is that correct?
So that means i will basically get internet for 6 months if i use that credit to pay my rogers bill, assuming it will be around $50?
Also we had rogers internet at home 1 month ago under my dad's name and it says on their website that "New activations only. Customers cannot have been a Rogers Hi-Speed Internet customer within the last 90 days"
So is it possible to get benefit of this offer if i order the internet under my mom's name or brother's name, etc? OR will it not work?
I am looking for a new internet connection and came across this offer.
Thanks alot for helping. |

@bell.ca | reply to grand total That is correct. You should not have Rogers Internet for last 90 days or so. |

| reply to micron06 said by micron06 :Rogers plus stores are clueless most of the time. I confirmed the extension with the activation rep 3 times. Just buy the modem from the Rogers+ store (don't forget to collect your gift card) and if they offer to activate it, refuse it. Go home and call the 1-866 number on the box before opening the package, confirm the Promo offer ($100 + $50 credits) and then proceed with activation by giving them the serial# and mac addy printed on one side of the box. A $15 activation will apply! After July 31st, the offer will just be $100 credit until Sep 31st. If they refuse the offer, you can simply return the packed cable modem back for a refund. EDIT: The Activation number is 1-866-835-6622 I called this morning and was told this offer does not apply to existing customers. My modem is going back to Future Shop. |

I forgot about gift card and wife won't forgive me forever for that. Even if the gift is $10 worth. |

| reply to a_large_rock Don't know about the current offer on the promotion being discussed, however, I purchased my Rogers cable modem yesterday (July 5, 2009) at Canada HiFi & Electronics »www.canadahifi.ca/ two blocks south of Bloor on Yonge. Until the end of July this retailer is selling Rogers cable modems for $59.00. Upon activation of the modem, the promotion that Rogers offered me is 6 months of HiSpeed Lite at $31.00. The modems are brand new. |
