The 3 month credit looks like it's roughly based on Express rates.

anon : You still have to pay the full cost of the modem $100 up front and there is a $14.95 activation fee but with a full credit for the modem, 3 free months and a $50 credit how can you go wrong even if you have to sign up for a year that's a great deal. I just wonder what the heck the $50 credits is for? The offer was pretty sweet without it. All they had to do was was waive or credit the activation fee and this goes beyond that.

The only other unknown I see is the possibility of installation fees because if there is only one cable feed into the house you have to split the cable going into the modem at the source with a proper splitter which most home owners don't have so it will probably require an Rogers tech visit. Expires June 30.
Ad doesn't say anything about contract for a 6 months or year.

Hmmmm. . .purchase the modem and receive an instant in-store credit of $50. The disclaimer notice further states that the $50 credit will be applied to the customers bill within 60 days of activation. So, if I interpret this correctly, the customer buys the modem; the store gives an instant $50 dollar credit. Within 60 days of activation Rogers will apply $50 credit to the customer's bill. However, if for whatever reason the customers decides to cancel the internet within 60 days, you loose out on the $50 dollars credit Rogers would apply to your bill. Always a catch. Buyer beware. . .
