anon posted : after I complained to TDS about recent connectivity problems, they sent me a new ActionTec 701 modem. I have my own wireless router, and set the modem to operate in transparent bridge mode. But when I need to recycle the power on the modem (after a night of storms that knock out my DSL connection, for example), the modem starts back up in DHCP mode. Does anyone know whether there's a way to get the modem to reboot with the saved settings instead of the default DHCP settings?

(I'm still steaming from the fact that they never told me that they switched from PPPoE to DHCP at some point.)
