Re: Rogers High Speed Internet Free Modem Offer/3 mnoths Free

You still have to pay the full cost of the modem $100 up front and there is a $14.95 activation fee but with a full credit for the modem, 3 free months and a $50 credit how can you go wrong even if you have to sign up for a year that's a great deal. I just wonder what the heck the $50 credits is for? The offer was pretty sweet without it. All they had to do was was waive or credit the activation fee and this goes beyond that.

The only other unknown I see is the possibility of installation fees because if there is only one cable feed into the house you have to split the cable going into the modem at the source with a proper splitter which most home owners don't have so it will probably require an Rogers tech visit. A few years ago, they waived the fees when I first installed mine but I don't believe they always do it.

There's only an installation fee if you request an installation but you're buying the self-installation kit so no install fee is charged. The kit also includes a splitter or at least mine did.
