Re: 2700hg-b f/w 5.29.109.5 for non-AT&T customers

Anyone at 2wire have a link to generic firmware with WPA2-PSK and MAC filtering?

Couldn't tell you, and that's if they decide to include you. If they don't they have no obligation to include you because you are not an AT&T customer.

O ok. Still not sure how other TSI customers got it then. It would be nice to have the stuff included in it. Would my s/n be in CMS still by chance?

it would come via a CMS push. that's the only way the release firmwares for us.

Well right now I do have the AT&T PPPoE activation code in there as I am really looking forward to getting the additional features included in the 5.29.109.5 version. The gateway in question is an AT&T branded model that was wholesaled to Caneris for whatever reason. Once I get the new firmware, if I do, I will most likely change the activation to the generic key listed on 2wire's website. I noticed in the MDC that there is an option to upload a local copy of the firmware. Any chance I could get a copy from you? Or do you know where I could find a generic firmware?

well, that would be a AT&T firmware that was released for AT&T customers. YOu can just punt and pray you get it, but they would not be obligated to give it to you since you are not an AT&T customer.

Probably the only reason why you might have gotten it is because the 2wire's key code is still set for AT&T.

I would change it if it was me.

In a thread on the TekSavvy board I noticed that people with 2wire gateways from Caneris have recieved firmware upgrades. There are a few features of the new firmware (MAC filtering, WPA2-PSK, additional wireless channels) that I would like to use but are not included in the 4.25.19 firmware. Is it possible to download the new firmware or will I just have to hope it gets pushed to my gateway somehow? Here is the thread where the updates are discussed and yes I did try the suggestions listed there. TIA
