meshif : Well right now I do have the AT&T PPPoE activation code in there as I am really looking forward to getting the additional features included in the 5.29.109.5 version. The gateway in question is an AT&T branded model that was wholesaled to Caneris for whatever reason. Once I get the new firmware, if I do, I will most likely change the activation to the generic key listed on 2wire's website. I noticed in the MDC that there is an option to upload a local copy of the firmware. Any chance I could get a copy from you? Or do you know where I could find a generic firmware?

David : well, that would be a AT&T firmware that was released for AT&T customers. YOu can just punt and pray you get it, but they would not be obligated to give it to you since you are not an AT&T customer.

Probably the only reason why you might have gotten it is because the 2wire's key code is still set for AT&T.

I would change it if it was me.
--
If you have a topic in the direct forum please reply to it or a post of mine, I get a notification when you do this.
Koetting Ford, Granite City, illinois...
meshif : In a thread on the TekSavvy board I noticed that people with 2wire gateways from Caneris have recieved firmware upgrades. There are a few features of the new firmware (MAC filtering, WPA2-PSK, additional wireless channels) that I would like to use but are not included in the 4.25.19 firmware. Is it possible to download the new firmware or will I just have to hope it gets pushed to my gateway somehow? Here is the thread where the updates are discussed and yes I did try the suggestions listed there.
