Ummm sounds like ASW(Aerial Service Wire) is shorted out. Last time I had this happen with a customer and the tech had to go out to climb the pole. You got so major issues if the dsl is dropping when it rains. You gotta tell the tech this when they come out so they climb the freaking pole and fix the short. Sounds like u are barely keeping a live connections. Man I have had people say when the street light blinks the modem looses sync, rofl. Your gonna need a experienced tech out there to check the lines for shorts since ur dropping when it rains. I think we are getting warmer here. |

| Well that's the thing. There are no poles until you get out the highway that runs toward the CO and even then I'm not sure if its on the poles. Lately (the past few days) I've been losing sync in the evening time for a few min then the rate is horrible for a few hours. I'm not the only one having that problem either (»Evening connection problems) As I posted in that thread. I'm not sure if the little boxes at the end of most people driveways are connected to each other in some way but when I take a walk around the neighborhood I see a couple of boxes with the cover knocked off exposing wiring and I wondered if that might have something to do with it. I've had techs out to look for shorts but each one tells me the same thing "There's nothing I can do unless it's raining." |

| Well if its dropping when it rains yes its gonna have to be fixed. They can find it when it is not raining, trust me. The guy I had had a woman tech climb his pole for his ASW issue, lol You just gotta demand when they get there and not let them leave. They can test for that stuff. Now those boxes could be pots boxes, onis, crossbox, who knows. If some are exposed ur wiring might have been compromised there. Att has to fix it because its our problem. dont let the tech leave until the short is found, lol. Now if you can have phone service you will need to call pots repair to come fix ASW issues. If dsl direct just call in for a tech. Pots repair is ur best bet if u want this fixed since nobody else seems to know where to find the problem. You need to call in, speak with a supervisor, tell them once they schedule apt, to call dispatch and put in notes dsl drops when it rains. Its either a dsl tech or pots repair. Only pots repair if u got phone. Sounds like u got half baked line, rofl. anyhow i`m signing off, take care. I come in here and there. HOPE You get it fixed!! |

| I've demanded enough. My family has decided to switch to cable internet service, It's supposed to be faster here anyway. If that fails I'll go back to pestering ATT. Shouldn't be this much trouble to download some mp3s thanks for your concern!!!! |
