Re: Bandwidth monitoring - whats up?

Mine is showing 0 for both upload and download for the past 4 days. Then again I am not going to complain about it not reporting my usage. I kinda hope it stays this way.
This happened to me on the first month the new bandwidth page came up. It got cumulated for me all into one day several days later. (it said I transferred 300+ gigs in one day).

Not showing any bandwidth for the past 3 days - how can Cogeco prove the authenticity of the meter? Bull.

Two days ago was showing as 0's until today and now yesterday which usually by now you'd have numbers shows currently as 0's. It seems like it's falling behind

This is exactly what I was thinking. 3 days without any change to the meter, and i am supposed to pay for this?

At 6 days and counting with no recorded bandwidth usage; really looking forward to seeing what I end up with when it decides to work.

It would be pretty sweet if they would have the system operating when they're going to charge based on it. C'mon Bell get a remote in Thorold so I can switch to Bell or Teksavvy -_-.

Having the same issue as the OP - the monitoring page shows me at 73.22% yet today I got the 85% warning, which the page also indicates... so I'm left wondering which one it is... 12% of 60 GB is 7 GB, which is a fair bit.

I hate to think I'm going to be charged based on this monitor, it doesn't seem to work very well from what I've seen & read...

This morning, it is telling me am I at 92%... there's no way I did almost 12 GB of transfer yesterday. What is up with this thing?

At this rate, I'm going to probably have to fork over some $$ for extra bandwidth this month, but I'm really wondering how accurate this thing is.

Impossible...
I'm wondering myself... It's an impossibility in the last 7 days for to have zero bandwidth.

I'm calling Cogeco tonight about this to open a ticket with them.

I called in to see what I'm at for the month, the rep said 68GB - monitor showing 105GB with 4 blank days. Who the hell is right?

First time I pay an overage I'm canceling.

..instead of cancelling, perhaps filing a complaint with the crtc, or the BBB...

I no longer have any zero days looks like it finally caught up for me anyways. I'm with everyone else though how accurate can it really be? Data is missing for days then just shows up. Now if their data seems to stall who's to say their polling system aren't stalling as well? Depending on how it's calculated the polling stopping could show some pretty crazy usage stats. Say it was partially based off of your speed at certain intervals. It stalls with you doing 6mbit and 12 hours later it comes back it says you used 6mbit that entire time therefor you used x GB's. Depends how its all calculated though it could just have 0's for that time frame.

First discrepancy with my router and I'm sending them a letter. Then I'll have my lawyer send them a letter.

bandwidth usage has been updated for me too.

I recently reset my router stats so I can't say whether it's accurate or not but the numbers are around what I expected.

Anyone else notice none of the cogeco employee's are posting in here lately?

I've checked my Usage and It differs in Cogeco's favor by 5Gb's where my DuMeter only shows 43Gb's there's shows 48Gb's.

Has anyone tried to fight the difference with a Cogeco rep yet?

I just called Cogeco and spoke with Micheal I think it was. He said he had to put me on hold to check it out but I did not give him the ticket number yet. He said he would come back to me and get that after.

So he can back from hold and I gave him the ticket number. He said the ticket was still opened but said he saw the same info as was noted in my account (ITC). He then put the credit thing quickly out to me.

When you call in to the front lines, do they have access to these tickets that are created? I'm thinking not because I have the feeling what actually happened was that he just put me on hold, talked to his neighbor and then they probably said just transfer him to billing for a credit.

You know a credit is nice (have not explored that route yet) but I would like a definite answer as to why the system is sending out these notifications without a person being even close to the limit because I'm sure this will happen again.

Cogeco needs to clearly identify and put measures in place to resolve this issue other the Cogeco Community will not trust the service and support.

So in short, I do not believe what support is saying and I would like a clear answer on this.

I logged into my account and nothing shows up, I looked the other day and it showed what I was using. I am leaving Cogeco at the end of the month due to moving to Nova Scotia (15 MBPs down and 1MBPs) up and there are no limits.

I'm running 2 software bandwidth monitors and 1 at the hardware level.

Software: 90 492 108.8 kilobytes
Software: 90 482 741.3 kilobytes
Hardware: 90 192 911.1 kilobytes
Cogeco: 105 560 781 kilobytes

Cogeco is conning me out of about 15GB, not to mention, 4 blank days and a rep telling me different readings lower than the Cogeco monitor.
