Looks like there's been a "lucky you" upgrade. The version is 20090410000001.
The "Do Not Disturb" feature has been removed.
Funny how we've heard about new features "coming soon" for two years. But, all we get is less.

| reply to amigo_boy Reading other forums, it sounds like the upgrade closed some loopholes allowing people to use SIP devices in violation of the Terms of Service.
This might signal that a BYOD/ATA service is on the horizon. Dan has said something would be "coming soon." Not just the "femtocell" product he talked about a few months ago, but even earlier he spoke of a real ATA solution.
I always wondered how he would sell either an ATA or the "femtocell" when he couldn't control how people connect to his network. Why would people pay extra for an ATA when they could just violate the ToS and attach a generic ATA? (And, the "femtocell" description sounded even more like he would have to require only MJ-approved devices connect).

| said by BosstonesOwn :hmm interesting , still using an ata with my mj service Did you get the upgrade yet? There are a lot of people saying their ToS-violating ATA stopped working. I've seen one or two people say they got it working again. But, nobody can reproduce their success.

One of the guys I work with told me to get a pap2t and gave me a config file for it , works great. I was more then happy just using the mj but this ata makes it so much better. -- "It's always funny until someone gets hurt......and then it's absolutely friggin' hysterical!" |

| "Analog Terminal Adapter" Allows you to plug an RJ-11 telephone cord, attached to a standard analog telephone, into it. It 'adapts' the digital VoIP signal (translates it) for the analog phone to 'understand'.
Popular examples would be things like the Linksys PAP2/PAP2T, a variety of Grandstream models (like the HT502) and many others.

is there any way to downgrade the upgrades ? Not that I'm aware of.
If you need an always-on solution, you can spend $60-$100 (about the price of an ATA) on a thin client. They use about 8 watts. The magicjacksupport.com forum has detailed instructions.
You can do the same thing with an old laptop if you have one laying around. Spend $20-$40 on an ATA-to-CF flash adapter. (Something like this: »www.addonics.com/products/flash_···decf.asp). Replace the hard drive with a flash drive. And "nlite" your XP to minimal services to reduce writes to the flash drive. Or, install EWF to prevent all writes. The thin-client forum mentioned above can help you understand how to do those things. (For example, »www.magicjacksupport.com/running···807.html).
