Re: Does XOHM work in DC anymore? I had good XOHM service in the GWU area of DC from mid-November until the end of January, none since. Several XOHM kiosks in Baltimore-area shopping malls have closed, and some staff, including the guy who was supposed to be the Washington-area regional manager, have been let go. I terminated my membership in February but left my desk modem set up. It has never indicated a signal since then. I note that the Clearwire (not XOHM) web site indicates that Clearwire serves smaller markets across the country and charges more than XOHM charged. I can't help but wonder whether Clearwire bought XOHM just to eliminate a competitor.  |
