| Outgrown frac T1
Currently my main office has a partial T1, 1 Mbps is dedicated for internet and the rest is dedicated for phones. Im not sure what the line count is for either, but figured with the speed of the internet it wouldnt be too hard to figure out. With that said we also have a remote location that has a dedicated T1 to our main office. That is a full T1 and appears to be running fine for the 6 users at the location. At our main location we have a total of 40 heavy internet users, constantly streaming radio, sending emails, downloading files and all that good stuff. What I was hoping is to get a quote for the same amount of phone lines currently installed, a faster internet connection from the main office and a T1 from the branch office to the main office. All internet traffic should go through the main office and we do wish to lease the hardware. We are open to one year or 3 year term. I was thinking a couple bonded T1's or a partial T3 or even some type of Ethernet over copper. I would like to stay away from wireless at this point...
Main Office: 9198 Red Branch Rd. Columbia MD, 21045 (410) 997-77**
Branch Office: 61 E Padonia Rd Lutherville MD, 21093 (410) 771-98**
If the full phone number is needed please pm me. |

All prices listed are based on a 1 year agreement, lower cost options available on 2 or 3 year agreements.
We can also do ADSL, or SDSL at your main location if you are just looking for low cost options.

| reply to cconk01 any time you add voice to the equation, we really have to discuss the equipment you have and the necessary expected interface. anyone here can get you a straight IP quote, but when you start including voice then everything gets more complicated -- not difficult, just complicated. You really need to know about long distance, line features, voice mail, everything else about voice. It's not just give me a quote for a T1 at ____. Please PM me with your contact info if you would like a comprehensive solution. |

| reply to RockyBB RockyBB. Good point. Lets ignore the phone lines at this point. I think I will have the phone company deal with this. Im also thinking rather than have the branch office have a leased line, would it be less expensive to just have one larger pipe at the main office, an internet capable T1 at the remote office and just use some type of vpn for inter-office networking?
Thanks, Peter |

1 edit | reply to cconk01 Peter,
If you have nine phone lines, I really wouldn't split them off the T-1. Nine business lines at 40-60 dollars a month per line is a chunk of money alone.
If you're looking at doing that and a T-1, you'd be better off putting a bonded T-1 line with the 9 phone lines at roughly the same cost. This way you'd have 3.0 Mbps of bandwidth minus whatever phone lines were in use (approx 64k per line).
I'd also recommend doing the internet T-1 at the second location. You can use VPN technology to establish a secure link between the two offices. In many cases, the straight data T-1 is cheaper than a point to point. Also, many companies want you to provide the equipment for point to point.
$340 or less for full data t-1 with free install and equipment for both locations.
I represent 20+ providers and have a best price guarantee on all of them. I'd be happy to assist you.
I'm out of town right now so email at jbarnes@shopfort1.com is best. |

| reply to cconk01 I would like to quote out a Bonded NxT1 at your main site or possibly a Fractional DS3 depending on the size of your router and facilities. Or we can provide you a router as well. Lease or free depending on contract term.and a full 1.54 T1 at the remote office with a router included lease or free depending on term with PAETEC a Tier 1 provider. Would you consider this option. Please advise |
