What it means is that Embarq is not going to pay 2wire to create a new release. Considering the age of that modem, you'd be better off getting a newer one.

Lakeville, IN		 So embarq tells me they are no longer supporting firmware for this router and 2wire keeps referring me back to embarq. So is it going to be impossible to get a firmware upgrade?
