@cox.net | CA San Diego slow speed and high latency!
2 days ago my connection was fine. Just today it 's getting really slow and all the games I tried to play had high pings up to about 450 - 500ms. Is there anyone from Cox that can help? |

Should I send my Modem' MAC to one of you, too? |

EDIT:
This issue is believed to have been resolved now, let me know if you're still seeing issues. |

| reply to Jinpham Having this same problem. Everything is dirt slow for the past 3-4 nights. Web pages take minutes to load instead of seconds. This is a recurring problem here in Escondido/San Diego CA it seems to happen every couple months and then goes away on it's own |

| reply to Jinpham Same here.. when I try to download I get relatively low speeds (400K or so.. which is good, but not what I'm used to). and Then it drops down to 10K or so, completely stalls, then bursts back up into speed.
The same thing happens when browsing. A page will either instantly load or hang until I refresh (then it instantly loads). Tried direct cable modem connection, alternate dns, etc.
I'm not looking for a personal investigation or anything, I just wanted to add myself as another affected subscriber. |

| These last 2 posts are likely not related to the problems that was diagnosed and repaired. If you regsiter here and PM me your MAC address I'll look into this for you.
@compddd:
Utilization doens't appear to be an issue on your node but the modem is reporting back numerious uncorrectable data packet errors. It might be a good idea to have a technician come out and try a test modem. |

join:2005-02-19 | reply to Jinpham Having a tech bring out a test modem would most likely happen during the morning or the midday, when everything is fine. Right now I'm having no problems, but come night time its going to become horribly slow again :/
What do you suggest? |
