Thank you for your interest in Verizon's FiOS1. We launched FiOS1 Long Island and New Jersey on June 22nd.
Verizon has only been offering its FiOS1 service for a little over two years. We started in the D.C. area, where it’s available in Northern Virginia and Maryland.
In your area, as of the moment, we’re focusing on Long Island and North Jersey. We received your inquiry about NYC expansion and HD versions. Our plan is to take FiOS 1 beyond the current areas and launch them in full HD in the not too distant future . We’ll let you know when we have more to announce.

Like FIOS1 for NJ and LI was announced 3 months before it came on , (March 2009, June 2009) , will the NYC Channel get the same or similar news before FIOS1 comes to NYC ? |

I thought FiOS1 did a good job with the election coverage.
Some reports were live video feeds others were internet streaming feeds.
I hope work is being done to improve the quality of the reports and b-roll so they have more bandwidth and look less like web streaming video. |
