Re: [Equipment] Recent info for D-Link VTA-VR?

Created a topic in tech chat...
As I say there, I've tried every way I've found to downgrade, but I can't get any of the suggested passwords for the Support account to work and the serial console is giving me nothing but garbage....
I'm about to start desoldering parts... :P

You may want to post to the VoIP Tech chat forum, you will get a lot more responses about unlocking.

Basically you will have to let the device connect to Vonage, then login as Support, with password tivonpw and then downgrade the firmware to 1.00.08na2 found here:

  Hi all,
I've been reading forums and sites from all over, and I can't seem to find anything recent that covers unlocking firmware version 1.00.09 for this device. The device was used for Vonage service as recently as 2 months ago. Here's what I've tried so far:
Followed the steps here: »www.caswenson.com/past/2008/4/29···k_vtavd/
This only got me as far as trying to request the XML file from the Vonage server, which rewarded me with a 404 error.
I've also tried using a serial console cable. It seems no matter what settings I use for flow control and such, I only get garbage on both PuTTY and HyperTerminal.
I've also tried all manner of full factory resets, to no avail.
So, is it now completely impossible to unlock this firmware version on the A4 hardware? I'd love to hear from someone that's done it successfully.
