Comcast is not preventing you from purchsing a box from MOto or SA. Additionally, you can buy a Tivo or a cable card PC/TV if you don't want to rent their box. I don't see what the problem is.
If there were real demand for Tru2Way stuff you'd see it in the marketplace.
