It does cost money to access Wi-fi at any McDonald's

I just checked their website and it says McDonald's, Starbucks, Barnes & Noble are free. You have to have a qualifying plan to get it which starts at the Basic Plan. If you don't have DSL at home, then yes there is a charge.
