How to convert my own NDS cartridge into ROM?

»Idea for Homebrew game -FOR NINTENDO DS-

»DS Homebrew

The threads above highlight information on how to play NDS ROMs on your DS using devices such as the R4DS.

Well, how do you actually convert my own NDS cartridges into a ROM?

Thanks

edit: I think this might do the trick

You dont need any extra hardware. You just use the NDS and back it up over WiFi.

Has anyone been able to successfully use that method to backup save files though?

I'd been trying repeatedly and unsuccessfully to back up my pokemon diamond save file. It always says it fails right at the end when you think it should be complete.

Has anyone else found a better (more likely to succeed) way of backing up save files?
