[Cable] Question

Does RR have "Boost"?

we have boost avalible in this area but only if you have standard 5 meg and add it to that plan for 10 bucks extra. unless their adding it to the lower plans now somethings up with that. A Friend has the 5 meg and the upload rate went from 384 kbps to 768 kbps so maybe their fixing to up the speed not sure.

OK. It is time to regroup and get some data points.

Set Tcp Receive Window to 32120

Set Windows Scaling, Time Stamping, Selective Acks, Path MTU Discovery, Black Hole Detection to Default.

Leave Max Duplicate Acks and TTL Blank

Save/Exit DrTcp

Reboot

Rerun the Tweak Test

Run Two Speed Tests from the two DIFFERENT cities nearest to you that are listed here: Speakeasy POPs

Also, test here »ftp://ftp1.optonline.net/test512

Note your transfer rate after about 30 seconds. Then cancel the download.

Post the URL for the New Tweak Test. For the TWO Speakeasy Tests, Copy and Paste the speed results from those tests and note the speed from the FTP download test.

ok about the question you asked before I have a different answer lol. Apparently we must have boost here now for all roadrunner speed tiers just seen a commerical for time warner saying that its free with roadrunner thats the only explanation. Just thought i would let u know I found that out.. thanks for ur help.

What do they estimate the speed for Boost?

Not sure but it starts out at 300 kb/s and goes down from there when i start a download thats all i know i havent called and asked anything I need to tho.
