Well here goes, it's an Sempron 3000 (Palermo). The board is a VIA K8M800, with 1GB of Xerox PC2700 RAM. Cooling is with stock heatsink/fan. I have two drives, one SATA & one Parallel (master).
This box I built from all free parts, not too shabby.
I wouldn't be too angry if I blew out something, nonetheless it's a starter. I managed so far to get to about a 25-26% Overclock without any stability problems (so far), so I should be happy right? that's not the case. The mobo seems to be the weakest link since people have gotten these Semprons of upwards 2.7-8ish speed. Unfortuantely there is no option for me to lock the Bus speeds so, after 255ish (x9) it fails to post. Video signal just disappears from the monitor. I also noted around 1900-2000 MHz range my second SATA drive becomes unstable often corrupting & glitching out. No big issue though I could just stick it in a external box for the future. My question is what is making the onboard video fail?? After that sweet spot. True I could just manually clear the CMOS & up a couple of Voltages, but I wouldn't really learn anything or even worse might get fried
