Any idea if we will ever be able to get FSN Pittsburgh in the Harrisburg PA area? I really miss not having it. |

@verizon.net | Hopefully there will be additional impetus for providing it to Central PA after the Pens made their run. Go Bucs! |

| Wanted to follow-up on this. FSN-Pittsburgh needs to be added in central PA. I'd like to watch the Pirates games this summer. Can't do it with MLB ticket, because the Pirates games are blacked out. There is no option to see these games. Central PA is certainly a Pittsburgh market (especially the Steelers and growing for the Pens). We get the Baltimore (MASN) and Philly (CSN Philly) channels - Pittsburgh would be as popular.
Who do you contact at Verizon for a channel request? |

| Many thanks for the news, VZ Mark. Please keep me updated.
One other thing - do you happen to know if Comcast Sports Net Mid-Atlantic (Washington D.C.) would also be in the works. Similar situation to FSN Pittsburgh - the central PA area is also a D.C. sports market - Washington Capitals hockey predominantly, Washington Wizards, and Redskins news. Smaller markets just to the south of us (such as York) have the channel. It would be nice if it were opened up to the larger Harrisburg area. |

Will FSN-Pitt be for all of Harrisburg VHO, or just those folks over in Mechanicsburg who do not get Comcast-Philly? -- Wormleysburg, PA |

1 edit | Pending the transfer of assets from VZ to Frontier I do not forsee any new channel adds (or other changes) to the Ft. Wayne VHO, sorry but it wouldn't make sense for VZ to spend money in a VHO that's already been sold. Kind of like painting your house after you're in contract to sell it...You may want to direct your requests/inquiries to Frontier? |

1 edit | from a local paper here in Ft. Wayne:
The sale includes Verizon's 718,000 Indiana phone lines. But customers should not notice a change beyond the name on the bill, said Steven Crosby, senior vice president for Frontier Communications. Although Frontier does not have experience offering its own television product, the company plans to continue offering Verizon's fiber-optic TV service, FiOS.
Am I wrong? |
|
JohnA Premium join:2003-09-16 Pittsburgh, PA | That's premature. I don't think Fairpoint changed the FIOS in their areas. There was no TV in NE. There's just no way to judge how Frontier will handle the FIOS areas yet. |
