Do yourself a favor and get imp DS. Had a Blood DK Tank do about 800 HPS while he was tanking General Vezax in Uld 10. Not to mention it is about a 2-3k stamina increase over frost. You do lose 3% miss, UA, and some aoe threat capabilities. Single target threat will sky rocket, but only is you are melee hit and espertise soft capped (8% and 26 respectively). Otherwise, prepare to run into some agro issues. My suggestion for you is that you get your base dodge and parry up to about 55-60% total, hit and expertise cap yourself and this spec will work for you.
Edit: Now, you can stamina stack. I know when I play around with blood tanking (I like Frost because it fits me better) I stack ungodly amounts of stamina. I think unbuffed I am at 35k in Naxx 25 and some ulduar 10 gear. You can get a shoulder enchant with +30 stam/15 resil from Champions Hall/Horde Equivalent (never played horde ). Then, just enchant gloves with +18 stamina and gem straight stamina in everything else. There isn't a big difference in survivabilty for me between frost and blood (I feel like I survive better as Blood lol) but I have threat issues because of not being expertise capped. (Frost hasn't really been an issue for me in that department, as I have can steal agro from most pallies on my server). |
