Re: Good signal, low speeds from my experience. I was with AT&T, the day they released the iPhone, my signal was strong and solid, the speed dropped to sub dial-up. After several calls to tech, I stumbled on an honest tech to said "oh you noticed that"..
story short, switched to Sprint with a Mill BYOD plan. when the leaves came out had to ad an Amp.
By the way...........I can't say enough about Jim in VA at EDVO Tips and Tweaks, his website has helped me navigate this moras of what I term BroadBand Redlining. Youse live in the wrong place, youse get no service.
Anyway...now Sprint has joined the SmartPhone revolution...let's sell the ability to send as much useless stuff as we can over our limited bandwidth....But let's not add any infastructure to support all the new bandwidth hungry apps.
So in good times, I get up to 1.9 downloads. But when the Tower is clogged, .25. I know it's app overload becase my upload speeds are 4X the download speed. All with a Strong signal.
Seems like a metaphor for our current financial hole....spend and expect more than you can support.
