I like it. |

| reply to mlong I seem to recall one of the newest GT701 firmwares had this automatic update feature, to which some on here did not want to update to that firmware due to that feature. Given the modem can brick with some of these updates, and having one temporarily brick until a couple hundred "resets" fixed it, I'd certainly can understand why some may not like having an automatic firmware update. |

| reply to mlong Don't know. They may have decided that 2.5 has been deployed long enough without problems that everyone needs to have it. Makes it easier for the script monkeys in tech support I suppose. I think 2.5 also supports some of the higher speeds Qwest plans to offer. |

| reply to travelguy I was in there about two weeks ago and nothing had changed. It was the original clunky interface I had seen before. This was an entire software interface change. This one more "cartoonish" than the original version. Everything seems to be the same other than that. Previously it looked like this:

It looks like it retrained at about 4am this morning. It's on a UPS and I didn't notice any power outage last night. I can't think of any reason it would have reset in the middle of the night. -- Make money on the stuff you never use: Crowd Rent |

| Has anyone else seen this before? I logged into my Actiontec M1000 modem after I noticed my IP address changed to see if it had issues or if the modem just reset. The entire interface on my modem has changed. It says:
I couldn't tell you what it was before but it's never changed in the almost two years I've had it. The modem has been rock solid and hasn't reset in something like nine months which was why the new IP address was surprising.
Does anyone know if Qwest is pushing updates? I'm not sure how I like getting software updates.
