|  [Connectivity] My internet connection keeps dropping
Hello all,
I was reading through the forums but have not found a resolution to my problem so I decided to sign up and give this a try.
My problem is that I will lose connection to the internet randomly but am still able to connect via other sources (bit torrent, skype, online game, etc..). So a typical night for this to occur... I will be surfing the internet on one monitor as well as having bittorent and skype running while playing an online game on my second monitor. It will then (randomly) not allow me to connect to any internet sites (have tried with internet explorer, firefox, and google chrome) or any "new" connections what so ever.
I am running windows vista home premium 32bit edition (service pack 2) on my pc which has the internet hard wired into it (Its not wireless). I have comcast cable which does run through a router before hitting the pc.
I have tried the following with no luck on correcting the problem:
I originally called comcast which made several service calls to my home stating everything looked good. The also had a line man out to check the lines coming into the home. Comcast replaced my cable modem "just in case".
I than believed it to be my router... I went out and purchased a brand new router which did not correct the problem ("old" router is Linksys & new router is Netgear).
I have 2 built in Ethernet ports into my motherboard and tried using the "2nd" port but was still experiencing the same problems. I tried updating all the drivers for the motherboard and the router but it did not correct my issue.
At this point I am running out of options and would appreciate anyone's suggestions for a solution on this matter.

| You gave great info, but normally members here like the info by the numbers to give a more complete overview of what they need to know to start diagnosing your issue and eliminating variables.
