Scree posted : Well now, ain't dlink better organized with the new "beta" folder on the ftp. So let me get this straight... it's now version 1.32 NA, "b02", beta 3, and "final"? LOL, Oooo K....

Did the update on an A3 with previous 1.32NA (which kept settings) and on an A2 with 1.31NA (had to reload settings, saved file worked fine as always).

No quirks to report yet. Having guest zone disabled proper (instead of enabled but set to never) now, no rogue "dlink" SSID showed up after a few router reboots so that's good. Infinite login seems fixed (it eventually times out as expected). I will never enable dns relay ever again so I won't be able to report on that. lol

[Up time with previous 1.32NA on the A3 was 25 days.]

sURFNmADNESS posted : Running this firmware now for a few days on my A4 version. As with the first beta of 1.32NA, I have noticed about every 8~10 hours the log shows "wireless restart" but the router does not boot to recover. I run reserved DHCP so the laptops seem to recover pretty quickly.

I do not run the Guest SSID, but I also have not seen it auto turn on nor broadcast under both beta versions of 1.32NA which others have mentioned in other threads.

I do not use the advanced DNS per I really seen no value to it when I tested it in version >1.31.

Running Securespot first level. Does not seem to have any issues, able to filter bad sites quickly while identifying most devices correctly. The only device which I thought was quirky was Securespot could not identify the Dlink made DNS-323 NAS nor did they even have an option for a NAS.

Running PS3, PS2, Wii, Tivo, desktops, laptops and winmo 6.1 phone is able to all link up with it and run to web without issues. PS3 seems to lag at times but I still blame that on crappy Sony drivers for their own wireless nic. It has had issues when wired or wireless to dlink, linksys and Belkin products I have tested it on.

One quirk I did note starting on 1.31. Under the QOS engine tab, the auto detect on connection type does not seem to work correctly on a cable connection. Set it manually for cable or broadband. Most of the time it seems to discover the upstream speed better then when matched against the various speed test sites and a greater value.

Scree posted : I would hardly qualify it as better than 1.31, but then I use G mode only so I don't know about the N part. But what I've found is that 1.32 introduces a new quirk that is very odd. After a router reboot, I get this extra unsecured SSID named "dlink" which appears to be because of the guest zone, even though that is OFF (and has always been its default "dlink_guest"). Toggling the guest zone on/off or turning it on but set to Never makes this rogue extra SSID go away. (Maybe it won't reappear with guest zone on but set to Never now, will see.)
