[netopia] Netopia 2210-02 and Linksys WRT610N and port forwardin

I've been trying to get remote desktop working on my desktop, which is behind a Linksys WRT610N wireless router, which is in turn connected to a Netopia 2210-02 DSL modem/router, connecting through to AT&T DSL.

I can't seem to find adequate documentation of the advanced features of either device, so I'm hoping someone here can help me.

I want to have the Netopia responsible for PPPoE, but to pass all communication to the Linksys, which would then responsible for routing, etc. I don't want the Netopia in Bridged Ethernet mode and have my Linksys do PPPoE because I want to be able to access the Netopia interface from my computers in case I wanted to change anything, and I think having NAT within NAT is part of my problem.

I did try enabling IP passthrough to the Linksys within the Netopia interface, but I didn't see any change. Would I have had to change something in the Linksys interface to get passthrough to work?

I also tried simply setting port forwarding on both devices, but though setting port forwarding on the Netopia seemed to be okay (the firewall log showed it wasn't blocking the TCP connection attempts anymore), the Linksys log didn't show anything being intercepted.

Thank you,
Nick
