Yes, have had this problem. Drilled into my Acura for a great antenna (worth it, by the way even if it brought the resale value down a bit unless I sell it to a ham). Sometimes it hits stuff. Once I even hit a power line repair unit that was working when I drove under it. Kept driving, though. Only saw a few sparks. Overall, definitely worth the effort to add another antenna and unit to the car. You can never have too many!
I did meet a wacker a while back who glued fake antennas to his car to give the impression that he was super wired. But, like I said, he was a wacker  |
