Looks a bit iffy for my line according to the faq.

SNR 8.0 and Atten: 45

Last speedtest I got 5.6mbps down, and 635kbps up,
of the 6mbps/768 we pay for, that seems lucky.

Interestingly my other dynamic DSL line at the same location gets only 3.5down and 384up, yet we pay for 12m/768, it has SNR16 and Atten: 42.5. It is on another pair of the same 25pair cable.

With Downstream Attenuation of 42 dB and 45 dB you are too far away for the speeds you are paying for and that is why it is so unstable. The DSL is trying to connect at speeds the line just cannot support due to distance. Neither of those line should be set faster than 3.0 Mbps.
