Re: Some Questions Regarding Ovislink OV303R2

Hey, thanks turns out i was not forwarding the right port for one application, and the computer that the port is forwarded has to be on for it to be open on my router, haha my mistake.

The third image says the modem is in "bridge" mode. That means there is no firewall in the modem. Everything gets routed to the next device down the chain (router).

The SNR is low for trying to run a fast connection. You ought to complain to the ISP to get the line cleaned up.

Hey guys, I just got connected to Colbanet a couple of days ago, so far its really good(i'll review them soon). im 2km away from the Phone central so im getting 10mbps and about 1 mbps upload from the advertised 24mbps. I'm not too worried about the speed (i got them for the no caps already transferred about 50 to 60 gb in a few days), although i'll post all my info and hopefully there is something i can do to help increase that. My problem is that i cant find the port forwarding option on my Modem (Ovislink OV303R2) It uses a broadcom chipset. I've attached these picture so incase you know where it might be hidden. My port for transmission is already open, however i want to open some other ports (if it is easier, how can i just diable the firewall on the modem, and leave the router to do the job of the firewall). Another thing, i tried to put my pppoe username and password into the modem so its automatically up 24/7 but could not get it to work, so i have it in my router which works, any tips on that as well? Also Im no dsl expert so can you guys tell me if my connection is good by the looks of the info provided in the pics and what i can do to maybe tweak my connection a bit?
