<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/649954"><b>Brano</b></A> : With 4.02 I strongly recommend following<br><br>1) backup your config (mark the FW revision in filename) ..just in case<br>2) take screenshots of your current configuration (for manual entry later)<br>3) reboot zywall<br>4) upgrade firmware (upload the .bin file)<br>5) reset to factory defaults (hold down the HW reset button for 10 sec, or reset through GUI)<br>6) reconfigure by hand from scratch, do not load old config<br><br>.rom is default configuration settings (same as factory reset)<br>It is included in the firmware itself too, so when you do factory reset (as described above) default settings are loaded]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/376662"><b>tnroroc</b></A> : It has been a VERY long while, but I have decided to upgrade my Z5 (UTM) with the 4.04 (XD.4)C0 firmware.<br><br>I do not remember if I need to upload the .BIN file or the .ROM file first.<br><br>What is this firmware.xml file all about?<br><br>Is there a preferred / safer way to run this upgrade? Web interface? Telnet?
