 | reply to funchords That ad makes me sick. There are 4 people on my street that i know have FIOS including me (the rest i can't see the box from the street/have not looked) and no damage, no complaints, all had 3 hours installs. One was even in the pouring rain and guess what, no track marks or anything on the lawn, and no water leaking or anything from the ONT & related cables. And, there are 3 cables. ONE power cable, ONE fiber optic cable, and ONE cat5 cable. The power cable on framed houses goes inside, you don't see it on the outside. The fiber optic cable comes directly out of the ground for ~2 feet from the conduit, and the cat5 cable goes into the house, you don't see it either.
I am going to call & complain to comcast in a bit. If they want my service for another 3 months they will pull the ads, if not they know where they can put their converter boxes.

I'm not sure if it was Verizon's pressure, the fire that Comcast accidentally caused, or both. However, the add has been removed from YouTube. Give it a week and we'll see if it disappears from TV. -- Robb Topolski -= funchords.com =- District of Columbia -- KJ7RL |
