AT&T has just completely conceded internet service to just about any other company by their actions. My God, the FiOS middle tier will have a UPLOAD speed more than twice my present (& forseeable future) DOWNLOAD speed. It;s almost enough to make a grown man cry. :(

Cableone is a local crappy provider here in Boise, Idaho that has low daily bandwidth caps of 1GB download and 150mb upload (on their standard tier, the others aren't much higher) from noon - midnight. There are no caps from midnight - noon. If you go over the cap they drop your bandwidth in half. They are also way behind the curve on bandwidth (even though in many areas of major cities they have FTTH or at least FTTN). Their current offerings are 3mbps/384kpbs, 5mpbs/512kpbs, 10mpbs/1mpbs.

I would love to have Verizon's FIOS here.
