 | Not only Comcast When I installed for DirecTV I carefully drilled a hole through an outside livingroom wall on a house in San Francisco that was built around 1920. As I was drilling I knicked the edge of a white PVC cold water pipe that apparently had been put there during some remodeling years before. That PVC pipe should NEVER have been placed there in an outside wall. It violated every code. Fortunately only a bit of water sprayed out because while I placed my finger on the nick, my co-worker ran outside and turned off the water. We mopped it up, called a plumber and had it fixed. Couple days later a wall guy went in and fixed the wall. Total cost... $150 which was the cost of the install.
A friend doing a DirecTV install had all the work done. Connected the green bround wire to his ground block and as soone as he touched the other to his ground clamp, Bzzzzzap! big sparks flew everywhere and the main breaker tripped. There was obviously something wrong with that house.
Then I heard about a Comcast guy in my city that knicked a gas pipe. Yeah....... Kaboom!
Oh and how about the ATT guy here in the bay area using an aluminum ladder. Yeah... He's dead now.
Oh the list goes on. But here's the thing. You always here about the airplanes that crash and never about the ones that land safely. |
