Re: Space Shuttle Endeavor Was thinking of driving up solo.... friend I did it last time scrubbed (March) and was going to Friday (when this one forst scrubbed) just got out of hospital from knee surgery.
Was near going, but I scrubbed it myself when there was the tanking delay for weather at 8:30pm.
To get there in time I would have to leave KW by 9:30p and not about to do that if they hadn't even started tanking, and preferably an hour in.
Now glad I thought that a good idea. Vs being up to West Palm by scrub time 1:55am
And te astronauts were fully suited up and ready to head out, but 2am was there boarding time.
Now I wonder if LMO/LCROS liftoff will still be delayed until Thurs, originally scheduled for Wed. (Lunar Orbiter and Lunar crater Collision craft) Similar to the asterod mission collision observation a year or so back. Sma vehilcle... the booster will be taken along though. The observation orbiter will stay there, then a second craft will sparate from the booter and crash it into a moon crater... floowing close behind and sending back the crash expulsione debris data bfore it too crashes.
Other than Hoygen I think only other single lauch dual mission launch. -- »haywardm.com (Hayward's Key West)
