| These messages (or SPAMS?) from ZyXel are becoming fun to watch. First the Official ZyXel forum now this.
Instead of messages like this, how about active ZyXel participation here. I'm sure that many users would appreciate it, I certainly would. |

Interesting but not necessarily useful. Concur that between this site and one of the the main European sites which by the way links to various european zyxel forums...... »www.zyxeltech.de . Most questions and information is available (other than specs, user guides, support notes from the vendor). Not saying more is necessarily less, but I certanly dont have the time nor inclination to look elsewhere. -- Ain't nuthin but the blues! "Albert Collins". Leave your troubles at the door! Why doesn't ZyXEL actively participate on their own forums?! It seems most knowledge sharing threads on the ZyXEL forums are from ZyXEL support people, but they don't admit to working for ZyXEL. Very, very strange behavior from ZyXEL. |

Besides, is it really necessary for them to admit?? People go to forum to seek for help and hopefully answer. So the question is if you can get your question answered in ZyXEL forum.
If you really need to get hold of a ZyXEL engineer, you can send email or call their customer service number. Their contact info can be find easily.
Not to mention ZyXEL is not the only company who host an official forum yet clearly stated they won't actively participate in the forum. |

| said by axybz:Maybe they don't want to get into a situation where customer won't take "NO" for an answer; if they do admit they are working in ZyXEL? Yes, I guess it is easier for ZyXEL to privately disappear when not returning emails or phone calls. I sent email to ZyXEL USA tech support on May 26th, an engineer asked for additional information which I sent immediately, and then he never replied.
On ZyXEL forum that would be embarrassing, and obvious to anyone that ZyXEL failed to followup with customer. With private email/phone communication ZyXEL can hide from public when it doesn't followup with customer. |

 | reply to a87456 Why should any ZyXEL employee take the initiative to do extra support on here, if their KPI is based on their internal ticket system solution?
Of course PLM could monitor it and inject stuff into the ticketing system, but if it adds extra work and you don't get compensated in any shape or form for it?
