I assume this is behind a router? If so, try it out front (only device) for a while and see if the issue continues.

If it's not now behind a router then can you confirm your Internet connection is stable?

Here's my background. We have Vonage VOIP. I don't really use it. It's another family member that used it for her home business thing. I am simply the maintainer of the home network.

She told me she was on some beta program, and the other day her service stopped working. She called their technical service on the phone, and I had to talk with them and follow instructions as they reflashed the firmware on the vonage VOIP device remotely, by manually helping them cycle the power.

However, after they supposedly reset it back to defaults, how it was before, it so far has frequent problems where it will lose connection. When I go into the back room to check it out, the POWER LED is flashing red. I have to end up cycling the power, in which case it starts working again.

What gives? Does anybody know?
