Re: We will see if it hurts sales... They may try and market it as 4G or B3G, but it isn't. While certainly far from finalized, 4G (aka IMT Enhanced) throughput is supposed to be a 100Mb minimum with peak throughput of 1 gigabit which obviously no carrier currently has and LTE and similar technologies don't currently meet. Looking at device reviews, Sprint's 4G network is running around 6-7Mb. These upgrades are certainly welcome but for Sprint to call them 4G is way premature.
Like EDGE was dubbed 2.5G, these 7-15Mb networks are more like 3.25G.
