I guess if I spent a lot more with AT&T (unlimited texting? higher minutes plan?), it's possible to be eligible once per year.
It's those customers that AT&T is giving a little bit of extra leeway for since this new upgrade is coming out sooner in the calendar year than last year's 3G model.
Most people I know are in the 18-24 month category. This doesn't do jack for them.
